It’s time to shine the spotlight on one of our beloved team members who has been with us since the early days of the Quiddly saga. Say hello to Hugo, who recently earned a promotion to Account Manager!
Over time, I’ve had the opportunity to grow within the company, gaining more responsibility and deepening my expertise in fintech and embedded finance. I’m excited to continue building strong relationships with our customers while helping them scale their businesses.
Hugo joined us in late January 2022 as a Sales Development Representative, where his focus was on engaging new potential customers and helping them understand how Quiddly could add value to their business.
The Commonalities Between Business and Sails
When he’s not working, you’ll most likely find him spending time with his family or out at sea, sailing. He’s actually a four-time Swedish Sailing Champion in the C55 class, so he definitely knows his way around ropes and sails.
Actually, sailing and business have a lot in common; you constantly need to adjust, read the environment, and make the right decisions at the right time.
Always Be Looking Forward
What Hugo really enjoys is the dynamic nature of his work, helping businesses with creative and robust solutions and seeing the impact it has on their growth.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability. Things move quickly, and we constantly need to refine how we work – whether it’s our processes, our product offering, or the way we engage with customers. You can’t just rely on what worked yesterday; you need to always be looking forward.
Where Team Spirit and Curiosity Meet
Hugo mentions that Quiddly is a company where curiosity and initiative are truly valued. If you have an idea or see an opportunity, you’re encouraged to explore it. The team is supportive, and there’s a strong culture of open dialogue – asking questions and challenging ideas is not just welcomed but appreciated.
The team spirit at Quiddly is a huge plus – we have a culture where ideas are encouraged, collaboration is strong, and we genuinely have fun while working towards ambitious goals.
From a career growth perspective, it’s also an exciting place to be, Hugo adds. Because Quiddly is growing fast, new opportunities arise all the time, giving willing employees the chance to take on new responsibilities, develop new skills, and excel in their careers.
The Hugo and Quiddly Legacy
And finally, the million-dollar question: What is Hugo’s vision for Quiddly in the long run? What does he hope to accomplish? What will be the Hugo legacy when people, 25 years from now, look back at the defining moments of Quiddly’s journey?
Hugo hopes future tech historians will see a company that didn’t just participate in the fintech revolution but helped shape it.
We’re not just building a product; we’re redefining how businesses approach financing. The defining moments of Quiddly’s history won’t just be about technology launches or market expansions – they will be about the businesses we empowered and the industries we transformed.
Personally, he hopes that his contribution will be in helping businesses see the bigger picture – how invoice financing, credit management, and debt collection aren’t just operational necessities but strategic growth drivers.
If, in 25 years, people say that Quiddly changed the way businesses think about financial services and that I played a small part in that transformation, I’d be more than happy with that legacy.
